Old Tapes
An audio documentary about family, grief, and….audio documentary. Julie's dad rarely talks about his older brother David, despite the fact that he loves to share family stories. But when her dad started digitizing old tapes from his childhood, Julie decided to ask about David for the first time. Old Tapes was a finalist for Best New Artist at the 2023 Third Coast International Audio Festival.

We produce audio documentaries exploring Minnesota’s art, culture, and history — stories about musical sensations, small town heroes, cultural icons, local lore, and more. Seasons 6-9 edited and excutive produced by Julie Censullo. Season 6 won Best Podcast at the Minnesota Society of Professional Journalism awards.

Rudos in the ring, técnico in the community (KFAI)
Lucha libre is a style of Mexican wrestling that blends acrobatics, combat, and classic narrative tropes of good and evil to engage audiences. Rudos Promotions, brings lucha libre matches to northeast Minneapolis once a month and provides training to new wrestlers during the week. This story won second place for Feature Reporting (Radio) at the 2024 Minnesota Society of Professional Journalism awards.
